About me

I’m a nature, climate, environment and conservation communications specialist. I love telling stories about nature, and I’m fascinated by the nature of storytelling.
I’ve been working in and around Australia’s media sector for more than 15 years as a journalist, writer, producer and communications professional. My work has spanned television, radio, online, print and social media.
I worked for ABC News and Current Affairs for a decade as a reporter, producer and radio newsreader. My work on the flagship 7.30 current affairs television program was recognised with a Quill Award for excellence in journalism.
I left the ABC to move into dedicated nature and climate storytelling and communications for Zoos Victoria and then the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF).
I founded my freelance business Gus Goswell Media in 2024 because I love to work with people, organisations and businesses that share my passion for the beauty and wonder of nature and that inspire me with their vision for creating a better world.
